NZ comedian, TM Bishop, is one of New Zealand’s most widely-touring comedians, appearing on screen and in top venues around New Zealand, Australia and the U.S. In 2013, she returned home to NZ from New York in top form to win three awards in the 2013 New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards, including Gag of the Year and The President’s Medal.

TM is a vibrant and dynamic stand up comedian known for her playful cheek and trademark smile. Her mischievous approach to everyday life comes through in her comedy, as her charismatic and magnetic personality leads the audience through her quirky ways of dealing with the awkward moments of life.


TM has appeared on television and film around the world, including several seasons of the New Zealand stand up comedy TV show, Pulp Comedy. She has also been featured as a stand up comedian on two U.S. series, Yukking It Up and Bug Off and the Australian late night talk show The Late Nite Show with Scott Black. She has been broadcast widely on radio stations throughout New Zealand, Australia and the U.S.


TM has performed at some of the most prestigious international venues around the world, including the Sydney Comedy Store, L.A. Comedy Store, Broadway Comedy Club and Laughing Devil Comedy Club in New York, The Sit Down Comedy Club in Brisbane and her home club, The Classic Comedy and Bar, in Auckland, New Zealand.


As a strong and prominent supporter of charities in New Zealand and Australia, TM gives freely of her time and skills to many charities, both large and small. Some of the charities TM has worked with include Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Women's Refuge, the Gynaecological Cancer Foundation, CanTeen and the SPCA. She is also renowned for her work in the mentoring of new comedians to the comedy industry and teenagers in schools learning the art of comedy.
